What Are Lab-Created Gemstones?
Our stones are made in a lab with a similar process as the one that occurs beneath the earth for natural stones. The only difference is that these stones cost less to make and take less time. Lab-created gemstones may also be referred to as “synthetic,” “artificial,” “man-made,” or “lab-grown”; however, these stones are just as genuine in their characteristics as mined ones.
During the creation process, mineral crystals that make up natural gemstones are synthesized, resulting in a stone that can have the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as its natural counterpart.

Durability
On the 10-point Mohs Hardness Scale — the industry standard test used to grade a gemstone’s hardness or durability — our stones ranks 8 to 8.5, which means it incredibly close to a real diamond. Diamonds, by comparison, score a perfect 10 on the Mohs Scale.

What Are the Differences Between Natural and Lab-Created Gemstones?
The main difference between lab-created gemstones and natural gemstones is how they are made. Lab-created gemstones are made in a controlled environment using advanced technology. This allows for more consistent quality and color than what can be found in nature. Natural gemstones are created by nature over millions of years, subject to imperfections caused by the earth’s formation processes.

This product can be worn at all times.
With that said, this product is not invulnerable. Spending enough time exposed to chemicals, your skins natural oils and sweat may eventually lead it to tarnish. It can lose its luster and become coated in a thin, grey layer of corrosion. Although tarnish doesn’t damage the metal, it can spoil its appearance.

To clean it please use a very soft brush, lukewarm water and some soap. Polish with a soft cloth. We do advise to not lay pieces on coarse surfaces.

Delivered packaged in a case manufactured of sustainable and recyclable fabrics. The inside is lined with a soft satin/velvet fabric to prevent scratching. This allows you to travel with your piece safely. We recommend storing your product in the box when you are not wearing it.

Sober does not cover shipping costs for exchanges. Countries import duty/tax will be held responsible by the customer.

The product must be shipped back with original packaging, tags on. The jewelry & box must be kept in the same condition as when it arrived, so please carefully package it before returning.
